The way diplomacy had been conducted in the past differed dramatically during the Trump era because it was very much about him and his personal relationships, and the way he used twitter to broadcast his intentions. That will go away. We will go back to a more systemic bureaucratic approach to foreign policy and to diplomacy and therefore the ambassadors of African countries and the foreign ministers will once again play a bigger role.
